Shops and Seminyak, these two words are connected like no other. It might drive you crazy, but if you do like shopping – like I do – it is close to heaven. Seminyak shops have the Beach and holiday vibe with a Western (or mostly Australian) touch and that’s probably while they are so successful. In addition Seminyak has also attracted big international brands to open shop which I won’t linger on here. Please find here my shopping gems.
Drifter Surf Shop & Cafe is a shop with a cafe. The clothes are mostly dedicated to surf, but they also have some great yoga brands (for example teeki) and swim gear. For more yoga gear try Buddha Wear which has good yoga gear, but also more casual clothing, Divine Goddess, WE’AR with a basic style and Dare2Wear who might go crazy on print and color.
For fashion my favorites are Uma and Leopold, Lulu Yasmine, and Magali Pascale, which all three are offering wonderful clothes of a diverse set of fabrics with collections ranging from cotton to silk for a more fashionable beach club to a great night out. Then again Buddha Wear, Mister Zimi known for bright colors and audacious design (please note that around the corner of the main store is the clearance shop for some bargains), Indigo&Rose, Mist, Namu and Lily Jean.
And then for your Bali finds (presents, sandals, leather goods, home ware) go to Tirta Naga gallery, D’becak, Bathe, Carga or WRKSHP 13. They all offer a unique collection of things that you can’t resist to lay your hands on and make some friends at home really happy with.
All of these shops can be found if you roam the street of Jl Oberoi and continue to Jl Petitenget. With the lovely temperatures here you might want to avoid doing this in one day and take your time and chill.
