Nepal – traditional clothing?!?

While in Nepal I was expecting that people would dress similar as in India. And they do, but they don’t. I would say that in India clothes are a bit more colorful and on average the percentage of people wearing a sarong is a bit higher.

But one thing that got my attention, was that there are loads of people wearing an ‘I love Nepal’ T-shirt. It almost looked like they have been handing them out for free. People from different ages, men and women, you wouldn’t have a street with at least coming across one person showing his pride and love for his country with this garment. So I got a few to pose for me proudly, and a few taken randomly on the streets as evidence. I look forward to hear whether you know of any other country where wearing an ‘I love my country‘ T-shirt has almost become traditional clothing. nepal shirt
